Our Youngest Member . . . BRIANNA ISOBELLE BAUTISTA TEODORO

.
Born March 28, 2009 at The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City at 8:30 am.
Brianna weighed 6.10 lbs. Brothers Lorenzo & Gabriel were both excited to see their baby sister. At last---a baby GIRL in the family. The two boys voted for Brianna's name. Proud dad Wesley was speechless. Just looking at her makes us happy.
We are thankful to God for blessing us with our baby and truly feel loved by Him for this special surprise. 6 years ago, I thought I'd never have another baby because of the spine injury I got. I had a lumbar slipped disc and for years I was on therapy, tried several treatments and different approached from accupuncture, yoga to chiropractic care. My Danish doctor told me I would not be able to handle getting pregnant because I was already in severe pain. And there was this last try of going through a non-invasive spine surgery and I felt that it gave me a better chance handling the pain. And it did. I was able to conceive in 2008 and just before my birthday, I gave birth to Baby Brianna Isobelle. Definitely God's gift to me and the family!

Dental Mission in Tangos, Navotas

Last February 9 and 10, 2008, Councilor Elsa Bautista-Teodoro launched her OPERATION NGITI PROJECT in Barangay Tangos, Navotas. This was in coordination with the UE College of Dentistry Alumni Association represented by Dr. Niel Echiverre and wife, Dr. Yumi. Councilor Elsa hosted the Charity DENTAL MISSION by the AICHI-GAKUIN Dental Alumni Association of Japan that was held at the Tangos National High School in Navotas headed by Dr. Editha Matias, their principal.

It was a successful Dental Mission and a record-breaking 2-day joint project since the tickets that were prepared for the 2 days were only 400 pcs. It was forecasted that only about 150 patients could be accommodated per day at the most, basing it through experience in the past years. But we were able to accommodate 560 patients! It must be because of the well-organized team of Councilor Elsa's coordinator, Mr Edward Ebuenga and staff, Susan Cahanding , Jonathan Besana, Marcos Manuel & Budie Bautista.

There were 23 Japanese dentist and 3 dentists from UE facultyplus 5-8 dentistry students of UE Manila. The activity started at 8:30am Saturday morning of February 9, 2008 and ended at 4:30 p.m. and people were already lined up at the gate. Thanks to the assistance of PNP - SWAT enforcers for the security of our Japanese guests and the assistance of the Peace and Order & Safety Office (P.O.S.O) for the traffic assistance and the Barangay Tangos officials. Everything went smoothly and Navotas townspeople were very grateful for the project which not only offered tooth extraction services but also filling, xray and surgery!

The state of the art portable dental equipments of the Aichi-Gakuin dentists and their unselfish service gave the people a sample of the truly humble caring and concern the team wanted to show. There were also free toothbrushes, dental mirror, pain medicine and anti-biotics plus a souvenir ballpen for each patient!

Another Good News  is that Dr. Masamichi has just scheduled May 2009 for their return to Navotas for another Charity work. This will be an annual project to cater to the less fortunate people of Navotas and for next year, the Operation Ngiti project will be held at Barangay Tanza, Navotas.

Councilor Elsa Bautista-Teodoro wishes to thank Dr. Niel Echiverre, Dr. Yumi, Dr. Masamichi, Dr. Lim and Director Espiritu for all your help.  We salute you for your dedication.

Councilor ELSA

I took my Oath of Office last June 30th together with the whole party of Mayor Toby Tiangco. Being the only opposition, it was somewhat uncomfortable for me so I did not bring the kids and Wesley with me and besides, Mayor Toby's coordinators did not specify. Anyway, I had a solo shot with Mayor -t0-be Senator Alfredo Lim. Parang Lolo ko ang katabi ko! I started office last July 2nd. attended the Flag Ceremony and I was welcomed by Dad's old employees at ther municipal Hall. It went quite well. They were excited to have me back there. Although the atmosphere at the Sangguniang Panglungsod (hindi na Bayan since Navotas became a City) was different due to some cross-eyed and paranoid councilors. They don't scare me. BAUTISTA YATA INI!!! MAY OUR TRIBE CONQUER!

OUR HONG KONG VACATION

Hong Kong welcomes the Bautistas & the Bautista-Teodoros!!! After a tiring, stressful summer from the Navotas Electoral race of 2007, this is the right time to take a break. It's Gabriel's first plane ride and first trip out of the country. He loved the taking off and the landing part best! Time for FAMILY BONDING! With Kuya Daniel & Ate Marivic, their lovely daughters Andrea (Chickee), Nicole & Denise and also Wesley & Elsa, and their princes Master Lorenzo & Master Gabriel.

The trip was tiring but destressing. Very hot weather though. No time to shop! We enjoyed Disneyland! But Gab wonders why Donald & Daisy, Mickey & Minnie speak Chinese!
